Connie Chang practices primarily in the areas of corporate and real estate transactions. She also consults on corporate governance matters for businesses and nonprofit organizations.

She grew up in Honolulu and attended college and law school in California. After law school, she was an associate in the Los Angeles office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. She then became Senior Counsel at WellPoint, Inc. (now named Anthem, Inc.), a Fortune 50 company, and Senior Counsel at Amgen Inc., a Fortune 200 company.

Her legal experience in Hawai‘i includes serving as Deputy General Counsel at Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc., Partner at Watanabe Ing LLP, and Counsel at Chang Iwamasa LLP.

During law school, she served as an Articles Editor for the UCLA Law Review and as Chief Managing Editor of the Asian Pacific American Law Journal. She is the author of Immigrants Under the New Welfare Law: A Call for Uniformity, A Call for Justice, 45 UCLA L. Rev. 205 (1997).

She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Real Property and Financial Services Section of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association and is a member of the Korean American Bar Association of Hawai‘i.
