Kari serves as the Assistant Director of the Evening Part Time and Academic Success Programs. She received her BA in American Studies and Women’s Studies from the University of Hawai'i at Manoā where her scholarship focused largely on the intersections of colonialism, indigeneity, gender and law. Prior to joining the Law School, Kari served as a Contracts and Grants Coordinator at the UH Office of Research Services and has previously served as the Assistant to the Gender Equity Specialist at UH Mānoa where she focused on issues of gender violence and gender equality as they relate to Title IX compliance.
