Uma Outka

  • Environmental Law Program’s 2019 Distinguished Scholar in Residence

Uma Outka is an Environmental Law Program’s 2019 Distinguished Scholar in Residence, visiting from the University of Kansas School of Law. Her research and scholarship explore the intersection between environmental law and energy law, with a focus on the transition to a lowcarbon electricity sector and environmental justice. In 2018, Outka was honored as the 2018 Stegner Young Scholar by the Stegner Center for Land, Resources and the Environment (Utah). In 2015, she received KU’s Sustainability Leadership Faculty Award and was selected by the student body in 2013 for the KU Law Moreau Faculty Award.
