Biography

Faye Kimura has practiced primarily in the area of domestic relations and child welfare law. She was the Editor-in-Chief for and contributor to the two editions of the Attorney’s Manual for Handling Child Abuse and Neglect Cases in Hawaiʻi and was designated Outstanding Attorney of the Year by the Child and Parent Advocates Section of the Hawaiʻi State Bar Association in 1993. She teaches the Family Law Clinic and is an organizer for the Child Welfare Clinic, which provides direct services to parents involved in child welfare court cases and supports the Judiciary and the Department of Human Services to implement systemic child welfare reform.
