This course will explore selected current issues in criminal law, including: 1. Decriminalization and the role of the criminal justice system (such as euthanasia, drugs, sexual behavior, etc.) 2. White Collar and Internet crime 3. Gun control and gang violence 4. High-profile cases and the role of the media in criminal cases 5. Sentencing, prison reform, & death penalty.
