Christina Lizzi '17

Christina Lizzi is currently a law clerk to the Hon. Sabrina S. McKenna, Associate Justice of the Hawaiʻi Supreme Court.  She has also clerked for the Hon. Richard W. Pollack, Associate Justice of the Hawaiʻi Supreme Court.

During law school, Christina earned both a Environmental Law Program Certificate and Native Hawaiian Rights Certificate.  She was a delegate of the Environmental Law Program to the 2016 IUCN World Conservation Congress; studied for a semester at O.P. Jindal Global Law School in Sonipat, India; externed for the Hon. Justice Swatanter Kumar at the National Green Tribunal of India in New Delhi; was a Sam L. Cohen International Human Rights Fellow; and was a member of Richardson’s Jessup International Law Moot Court team.  She also served as a research assistant to Associate Dean Denise Antolini and to Professor David Callies, and as a teaching assistant to Professor Daniel Barnett.  In 2017,  Christina assisted the Hawaiʻi State Environmental Council with drafting proposed updates to Hawaii Administrative Rules Chapter 11-200, Environmental Impact Statement Rules. 

Christina also spent four years working at the University of Hawaiʻi Center on Disability Studies on a variety of projects ranging from establishing a worker’s cooperative for persons with disabilities engaged in small-scale aquaponic farming on Maui, to increasing employment opportunities for youth with disabilities in high school on Oʻahu. 

Prior to moving to Hawaiʻi in 2012, Christina was a policy analyst and national community organizer on fisheries issues at Food & Water Watch, an environmental and consumer advocacy non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C.

Christina is also a certified yoga instructor with a focus on meditation and Ayurveda.
