Kimberly Koide Iwao

Kimberly Koide Iwao, Esq. was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from Punahou School.  She received her Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education and English from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.  

Ms. Iwao was formerly a Partner at the law firm of Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel, LLLP, one of Hawaii's largest and most prestigious law firms, where she practiced in the areas of employment law, estate planning, and civil litigation.  Thereafter, she served as in-house counsel and business executive at ProService Hawaii and Waterhouse, Inc., where she led the companies' compliance departments.  

In addition to running her own law practice (KKI Law), Ms. Iwao is a full-time faculty member at Kapi'olani Community College in the Legal Education Program, and is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Hawai'i Richardson School of Law, where she co-teaches the Pretrial Litigation practicum course.  Ms. Iwao is currently a doctoral student at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa in the Learning Design and Technology department.

Community service and pro bono legal work is also Ms. Iwao's passion.  Ms. Iwao serves as a director on the board of the Physician's Exchange of Honolulu, and is the founder of the Kapi'olani Community College Legal Education Program's Estate Planning Clinic. Ms. Iwao was recognized as a Pacific Business News "Forty Under 40" and "Women Who Mean Business," was a graduate of the Pacific Century Fellows Program, and was named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers.
