Marjorie M. Shultz

Marjorie M. Shultz graduated from Berkeley Law School and joined its faculty in 1976, serving until 2008.  Before receiving her law degree, Professor Shultz graduated from the College of Wooster, and completed a Master’s at University of Chicago (History and Education).  Professor Shultz has taught and published in areas of Contract Law, Health Law and Ethics, Reproductive and Family Law, and Legal Ethics. Ms. Shultz has been involved in national public health policy as a member of the Clinton Legal Review Group in 1993; as a speaker, study section member, and consultant for the FDA, NIH, NCI, PHS, and CDC.  She served on the first advisory board for the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health.  She has also been active with local hospitals doing medical education and serving on Ethics Committees.  Professor Shultz was a Visiting Professor in the Medical Ethics Department at UCSF.  Her publications appear in medicine and science publications as well as law journals and focus on issues of consent, conflict of interest, reproduction and family as well as DNA identification, genetic challenges, and medical research.
