Law School Description

This course focuses on constitutional criminal procedure, with emphasis on fourth, fifth, and sixth amendment issues. In addition to search and seizure, interrogations and confessions, and right to counsel, the course addresses jury issues, including pretrial publicity in high profile cases, and issues such as indictments, plea bargains, and other pre-and post-trial procedural matters.

Issues of free press and fair trial, illegal search and seizure, arrest and confession, speedy trial, double jeopardy are covered through student interactions as defense or prosecution attorneys and as judges.

CommentsThe Criminal Procedure exam will be administered online. Start exam in Examplify on Wednesday, December 14 between 12:30PM-1:00PM HST. Students must start the exam by 1:00PM. Once you start the exam, you must submit it within 3 hours. This is a closed book exam. Students may not access or use any files saved on the hard drive of their computer/laptop.
