Building upon the foundation established in Contracts I and II, this course provides an in-depth study of the law governing domestic sales of goods under Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code including: warranties; manner, time, and place of performance; buyers’ and sellers’ remedies for breach; and limitations on the freedom of contract. Notes
Secured Transactions is NOT a prerequisite for the Summer 2013 class.
Since the beginning of time, commercial transactions have facilitated the purchase and sell of goods. This course examines the law governing sales of goods as codified in Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). Through statutory and case analysis and problem solving, students will develop skills in planning for and resolving disputes involving transactions in goods, as well as the critical skills necessary to evaluate goals of the law of sales. Topics including, but not limited to, contract formation, performance, breach, and remedies will be studied.
